Virgin Hyperloop is an American transportation technology company working to commercialize a high-speed travel concept called the Hyperloop, a variant of a vacuum train. According to experts, the Hyperloop will be the fastest train in the world.
The vehicle would silently glide at speeds of up to 1,223.1 km/h with very low turbulence. But in February 2022 they decided to abandon the plans and focus on transporting goods.
Hyperloop has been generating some controversy due to the excessive spending of money on the part of the main creator, Elon Musk and the physical forces that the human being supports, despite having a more competitive technology according to analysts.
An inherent restriction of the laws of physics, makes humans unable to handle lateral or vertical accelerations without intense nausea, and the faster it goes, the worse the human gets. Instead of an electrified and magnetized rail, the Hyperloop will be built inside a giant tube, and that tube will be almost completely evacuated from its air.
Hyperloop would bring massive impacts on the environment as it is an ultra-efficient electric motor with magnetic levitation and a low drag environment, hyperloop systems can transport more people than an underground, at aerial speeds and with zero direct emissions as in the case of CO2.
According to Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Group, he is pleased with the European Commission for its bold and ambitious climate strategy after identifying that the Hyperloop is a game-changing technology in the European Union's Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy.
